Premier Family Dental restores damaged and missing teeth with same-day crowns, bridges, dentures and partials, so you can chew and smile without a second thought, across Wadsworth, Medina County and the surrounding area.
One visit for a crown, one team for the rest
A crown elsewhere often means two appointments and a few weeks in a temporary that can loosen or break. Here, crowns are designed and milled in the office with CEREC while you wait, so you leave with the finished tooth the same day.
Bridges, dentures and partials are fitted by the same team that looks after the rest of your teeth, and implants are placed and restored here too if you want something more permanent. If it has been years since your last visit, nobody will lecture you. You will see your X-rays and hear your options plainly.

Dentures
A full denture shapes how you eat, speak and smile every day, so the fit matters more than anything else about it. Yours are fitted and adjusted by the same team in this office, and if a loose lower denture is the problem, it can be secured with implants or mini implants placed right here instead of at a separate surgeon's office.
A partial that rocks, rubs or catches food usually ends up in a drawer. A partial denture fills the gaps where some teeth are missing by clasping onto the healthy teeth you still have, and it is adjusted here until it sits firmly. It is often the most affordable way to fill several gaps at once.
Your crown is designed on a screen from a 3D scan of your tooth, then milled from a solid block of ceramic in the office while you wait. That means no goopy impression trays, no temporary crown and no second appointment. It is the same technology that lets many root canals be finished the same day.
A bridge spans a gap by anchoring a replacement tooth to the teeth on either side, so it stays fixed in place and you brush it like your own. Because those neighboring teeth have to be shaped to hold it, you will hear plainly when an implant would protect them better, and both are done in this office.
In most cases, yes. Crowns are designed and milled in the office with CEREC technology, so the tooth is prepared, scanned and fitted with its permanent crown in the same appointment. That means no temporary crown and no return visit. Occasionally a tooth needs other work first, and you will know that up front.
Should I get a bridge or an implant?
It depends on the teeth next to the gap. A bridge is anchored to the neighboring teeth, which means shaping them, so it makes most sense when those teeth already need crowns. An implant replaces the missing root on its own and leaves your other teeth alone. Dr. Khalil places implants himself, so you get a straight comparison rather than a push toward whichever one can be done in-house.
My dentures keep slipping. What can be done?
A loose denture can often be relined so it fits your gums better, since gums and bone change shape over time. If slipping keeps happening, especially with a lower denture, implants or mini implants can be placed to hold it securely. Both are done here, so you do not have to start over at a new office to get a denture that stays put.
Is Dr. Khalil a prosthodontist?
No. Dr. Shahir Khalil is a general dentist, and in Ohio the title of prosthodontist is reserved for dentists with advanced specialty training in replacing teeth. Crowns, bridges, dentures and partials are everyday work for a general dentist, and they are all done in this office. If your case is complex enough to need a specialist, you will be told why and referred.
How long do crowns and dentures last?
With good care, crowns commonly last 10 to 15 years or longer. Full dentures usually need relining every few years and replacing every 5 to 8 years, because your gums and jawbone change shape over time. Regular checkups let small problems, like a worn edge or a loosening fit, get fixed before they turn into a whole new appliance.
