He built this practice himself, and he still owns it. When he recommends treatment, the only person he answers to is you.

Our story

How we got here

  1. Akron

    Growing up down the road

    Dr. Khalil grew up in Akron. His father was a veterinarian in downtown Wadsworth for nearly forty years, so this is a town he has known his whole life.

  2. 2000

    Dental school at Ohio State

    He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry.

  3. Dayton

    A residency, and a rare license

    At Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton he completed an intensive residency and earned his license in conscious sedation. It is why oral and IV sedation are done here rather than referred out.

  4. Premier

    A practice named after its building

    He built his first office from the ground up in the Premier building, and named the practice after it.

  5. 2010

    A building of our own

    In December 2010 he oversaw construction of a brand-new building for Premier Family Dental.

  6. Today

    Still independent

    No corporate parent, no production targets, no rotation of associates. He has also chaired the Akron Dental Society's public relations committee and served as a delegate to the Ohio Dental Association.

    In the dental field since 2011

    Torie has been in the dental field since 2011. She started as a dental assistant after graduating from Norton High School and worked as an assistant while going to college, graduating as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2016. Torie is very passionate about dental hygiene and patient care. She began working for Dr. Khalil in 2016 after graduating from dental hygiene school. She now lives in Medina with her husband, 3 kids, 3 dogs, and a bunch of chickens. She and her family enjoy traveling all over the world and taking new adventures. When she is not at work as a part-time dental hygienist, she is working as a full-time homeschooling mom.

    Alexis grew up in Daytona Beach, Florida and now resides in Green. Alexis has worked in the dental field since 2017. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and playing video games.

    Wayne County Career Center, 2025

    Maddy grew up in Panama City and now resides in Doylestown. She graduated from the Wayne County Career Center in 2025 with a degree in dental assisting and has been working in the dental field since 2024. She enjoys spending time with her four cats, Buddy, Oreo, Gregory Earl, and her newest kitten, Leonard. In her free time, she loves watching movies and building Legos with her fiancé.

    Dental assistant since 2014

    Macey grew up in Canal Fulton and now resides in North Lawrence on her husband's farm with their daughter Avery and two cats, Kitters and Theo. She has been a dental assistant since 2014, when she graduated from RG Drage CTC, and later completed her EFDA (Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary) program at Stark State College in 2018. In her free time, she enjoys helping her husband on the farm and spending time with family and friends.

    Kayla grew up in Cuyahoga Falls and now resides in Medina. She has been a hygienist since 2017 and graduated from Stark State. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and beautiful daughter, baking and being outdoors with her dogs.

    General and orthodontic experience

    Kate grew up in Canal Fulton and now resides in New Franklin on her husband's family beef farm with her daughter Kendall. She has been in the dental field since 2016, with experience in both general dentistry and orthodontics. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, her two dogs Baker and Benny, and chickens.
